Let me introduce myself

I’m Ally, founder of Allaura Academy. Nails have been my world for over a decade, but it wasn’t always that way. I started out where you are right now, stuck in a job that drained the life out of me, dreading getting up for work every day, surrounded by people who didn’t align with me, and knowing deep down I was made for more.

When I decided to change my story and back myself, everything changed. I built my own salon from scratch, grew it into a six-figure business, and eventually opened Allaura Academy to give others the same chance to change their lives.

I know what it takes to go from feeling unfulfilled in a job to creating a career that gives you freedom, creativity, and security. That’s why this academy isn’t about shortcuts or quick fixes. It’s about giving you the education, the confidence, and the standards you need to step into a new career and build your own six-figure business.

Builder BOSS

Builder Boss is a course designed specifically for complete beginners. Carefully developed by industry expert Ally, who brings not only formal qualifications but over a decade of hands-on experience. This course is designed to build confident, knowledgeable Nail Technicians, with the education to work safely, the professionalism to stand out, and the quality that attracts premium clients.

You’ll get six months of access to our online learning platform, which includes full-length tutorials, guided lessons, and in-depth theory. Before your two in-person training days, you’ll complete the essential core theory modules so you’re fully prepared to step into the salon with confidence.

After you have completed your essential theory, you will join Ally for two full days of practical training, focused on safe technique, correct application, and refinement.

Online learning

Once enrolled, you will gain 6 months of access to our online education platform. This is where you will build your knowledge in the right order, with full-length tutorials, guided lessons, and technical theory that lays the foundation for everything that follows.

You will cover:

• Nail anatomy and structure
• Skin and cuticle types
• Nail conditions and infections
• Safe prep and nail plate work
• Health, medications and environmental factors
• Contraindications and client safety
• Product chemistry, including pH, bonding agents and ingredients

This format gives you the time and space to truly understand what you are doing, not just memorise steps. By the time you step into the salon, you will be informed, prepared, and ready to focus on technique and refinement with confidence.

Face to face training

Across your two in-person training days, we will refine your skills and bring everything you have seen online into real-time application. These sessions are designed to build confidence, control, and salon-ready technique through guided demonstrations, supervised model work, and direct feedback.

You will cover:

• Use an e-file and cuticle nippers safely

• Prepare the nail plate without causing damage

• Perform Russian and e-file manicures

• Work with different viscosities of builder gel

• Float and structure product correctly

• Shape and debulk with control

• Repair nails using forms and tips

• Conduct full client consultations

You will also complete a full set on a real client, giving us the opportunity to troubleshoot, refine your approach, and work through real-world scenarios together.

How long is the Builder Boss program?

The in-person training is 2 full days. You will also gain access to the online learning platform for 6 months after your in person training days, where you can continue building your knowledge, revisit lessons anytime, and work through the full theory modules that support your practical training.

Is this course suitable for absolute beginners?

YESSS, Builder Boss is made for complete beginners. You don’t need any prior experience. We start from the beginning up and give you everything you need to become a confident, knowledgeable nail technician.

Do you offer payment plans?

Will I be certified at the end?

Yes! Once you complete the course, you’ll graduate with an Allaura Academy Certificate of Completion. Where does the in-person training take place?

Training is held in Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia. Once enrolled, you’ll receive all the location and scheduling details so you can plan ahead with confidence.
